What We Believe
THE GOD is our God
- God writes the beginning and ending, and invites us to partner with the in-between
Jesus is LORD
- Key question: Who do YOU say that I am?
- Spirit is an “action word” – the power that binds relationships together
God SPEAKS
- God has revealed God’s very self to us, especially in scripture
The Church has a
MISSION
- The church is the people of God, who live to “give feet to faith”
- Neither we nor the church ever reach perfection, but we live on a journey of faithfulness, to be more like Christ in our unique settings
BUT ABOVE ALL, we believe in GRACE.
We want this not to be a word, but a way of living together, knowing that we are forgiven, we can forgive others; knowing that God loves us, we try to love the ones who are hard to love. And we know that grace means that we do not have to be perfect to be the people of God.
